So glad that you are taking the time to look at my work. I do hope that you enjoy both the images of these sculptures and the accompanying riffs.

The Glance

I am simple yet complex,
regarding you with interest,
as you sweep by in midnight blue,
a glance is all,
click, click, we’re through.

Girl with Flowers

The young girl, shy,
observes from on high,
uncertain in her youthfulness,
while flowers in her hair, her dress,
hint at her essential wildness.

Tree Warrior

The fight not fully fought,
the battle not yet won,
but we the women of the woods
still rule the Amazon.

Spirit of the Himalayas

The quiet of my future
belies a hectic past,
when errant winds would move me,
in peace I am, at last.

Josephine

The army marched in,
I fled the scene,
To find my life as Josephine.

Mother & Child

Oh child, how fast you grow,
Soon to be gone from my arms,
Will I always long for this time,
When love enveloped our lives.

Looking Forward

We shall go forth together,
Through wild and windy weather,
And find a land where love can stand.

Birth

I came into this world,
One among many,
Obscured, forgotten, tucked away,
Loved to oblivion.
But surrendering to the path of gentleness,
I’ve been born again, whole.

At Play

Oh children of mine,
how I try to satisfy
your needs that seem to multiply,
till yours the task to gratify.
Until then, let’s play!

Surrender

Losing it all,
after the fall,
I came to see,
that life was me.

The Dance:

They danced beneath the creature,
with benign and loving feature.
Gently holding, pulling, pushing.
They fall, they rise, they live their lives,
and dance away their ills.
